BIOGRAPHY
Don Levin is President of Legacy Search, LLC, a Richmond, VA based firm specializing in Leadership Coaching and Training, Performance Enhancement, as well as Executive Search and Placement.
In addition to his thirteen years of general practice experience as a former Attorney at Law, Don also served for nine years as a court appointed arbitrator. He is also a retired U.S. Army officer, with over twenty three years of commissioned service spent in a variety of command and staff positions, twelve years of which were at the General Staff level. He is also a past senior sales leader for GE Financial Assurance and Genworth Financial with a focus on sales, training, and leadership development. He has written extensively on the subject of leadership and coaching, and is the co-author of The Leader Coach: Exposing Your Soul©. The next of three additional leadership books will be published shortly. He has also taught Managing Goal Achievement ® and Integrity Selling® to hundreds of leaders and salespeople over the past seven years. He has recently been certified to teach The Way to Wealth®.
Don earned his JD from The John Marshall Law School, his MPA from the University of Oklahoma, and has a BA in Political Science/Criminal Justice from the University of Illinois-Chicago. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Army Command & General Staff College and the Defense Strategy Course, U.S.Army War College.
In addition to his law license, Don also possesses his Life & Health insurance license, NASD Series 7, 24, and 66 licenses, and has earned the CSA® and CLTC® designations. He has also earned Green Belt certification through GE’s Six Sigma program.
In his spare time, Don enjoys other forms of writing and is the author of the previously released military legal thriller The Code, the legal story Broken Code, as well as the historical fiction novel Knight’s Code.
Other non-fiction works include the companion volumes Eight Points of the Compass; Directing Our Children on the Path to a Better Life and Don’t Feed the Bears: How Parents Can set their Kids up for Failure. Both of these titles should be available in the Spring of 2009.
Don is very active with his church and within the community, and remains focused on his wife Susie, their five children and eight grandchildren. Don and Susie reside in Richmond, VA, with their two dogs aptly named Barnes and Nobles.
